Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the Power Packed Performer Cinema award at the India 2030 Leadership Conclave 2026 and brought his daughter Shora along for the evening. He spoke about India's rapid progress and quoted the Gita on the inevitability of change, pointed to Shora as the person who matters most to him, had an adorably confused moment with Gen Z slang, and named Jaisalmer as his favourite destination in India.
The India 2030 Leadership Conclave 2026 at ITC Maratha, Mumbai, recognised Nawazuddin Siddiqui with the Power Packed Performer Cinema award. He came to the evening with his daughter Shora by his side, and that detail ended up being the warmest part of the whole interaction.
Change is the law of the world
When asked what change he is most excited to see in India by 2030, Nawazuddin reached for something timeless. "Hum bahut tezi se aage badh rahe hai, bahut zyada cheezo mein change hoga aur hona bhi chahiye," he said. He then quoted the Gita. "Woh kehte hai na, parivartan hi sansar ka niyam hai." Change is the law of the world, and he is hopeful that the change coming India's way will be for the better.
The person who matters most
When asked who he admires and looks up to, Nawazuddin gestured to Shora, sitting beside him. He spoke about wanting her to work hard and move forward in life. "Yehi hai, jisko main bahut zyada chahta hu ki mehnat kare aage badhe," he said. He also mentioned, with a gentle smile, that this was her first time at an event like this and that she was a little nervous. It was a small, unscripted moment that said more about him than any award could.
Rizz? About?
The Gen Z slang round was brief and completely charming. When asked if he knew what rizz meant, Nawazuddin looked at the interviewer and said simply, "About?" The confusion was genuine and utterly adorable. When the question was rephrased and clarified as slang, he was straightforward about it. "I don't know about that." The mic then went to Shora, who nodded that she did know what it meant but could not quite find the words to explain it, her nervousness getting the better of her in the moment. A very relatable father-daughter exchange.
Jaisalmer
On his favourite travel destination in India, Nawazuddin had one answer. Jaisalmer. No elaboration needed.
At the India 2030 Leadership Conclave 2026, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was quiet, considered, and completely himself. He showed up with his daughter, quoted the Gita, and picked Jaisalmer. That is enough.
